The show was also praised for its ability to ‘introduce a diverse range of new members of Galway community to each other and to the wider student community’.
In the category of Social Benefit- Talk, Rose Foley & Lorraine Lally won a gold award for their International day of People with Disability (IDPWD) Community Takeover show. The judges said that the program ‘ gives a voice to people with disabilities which is of great social benefit’.
Station Manager of Flirt FM, Paula Healy said ‘ After a rough couple of years it’s nice to be reminded of the creativity, dedication and social impact of our volunteers and the shows that they make.
