On midnight 21st May Sophie Ní Choimín went on Hunger strike until the Occupied Territories Bill is brought into effect by the Irish government. Sophie spoke to us on her 5th Day about what she needs to hear from Government to end the Hunger strike.

Sophie has been invited to speak during private members business today in the Dáil at 18.10 and is en route to Leinster House.

Meanwhile it has been indicated that Táinaiste Simon Harris will on today ask the Cabinet to approve the drafting of the general scheme of a Bill to ban the importation of goods from illegal settlements in the Occupied Palestinian Territories.
