Galway’s Grief Sherpa Network Providing Care to the Bereaved
The Galway Grief Sherpa Network (GGSN), is a recently established bereavement support initiative that has been jointly launched by Galway University Hospital’s Bereavement Support Services and Irish Hospice Foundation to promote the organisations who offer bereavement support in Galway. The network consists of skilled hospice, hospital and community staff who work together to increase awareness of local bereavment services.
The GGSN work to ensure that bereaved individuals get the support they need for each stage of their bereavement journey. Iveta speaks with Vivian Roche-Fahy, Chair of GGSN and Bereavement Liaison Officer at Galway University Hospital, who gives us more insight into the GGSN and the work they do.
