Why the Moon Travels is Running in Galway International Arts Festival until the 19th of July – Working with Moonfish Theatre Oein DeBhairduin sees his written versions of traveller folk tales taken to the stage at the Bank of Ireland Theatre. Devised with an all-Traveller ensemble from DeBhairduin’s best-selling book, Why the Moon Travels interweaves stories of kind animals, otherworldly beings, and hapless humans with memories and experiences from the performers’ own lives, mixing the wisdom of folklore with their own words.
