We are delighted to share that “The All-Star Sports Show” presenter Conall Diggin has won Best Sports Jornalist at the second International Student Broadcasting Championships.

Conall faced competition from finalists in fellow college radio stations in; North Carolina State University, USA (WKNC 88.1); Texas A&M University, USA (KANM), Santo Torres, Phillippines (UST Tiger Radio), University of Pretoria, South Africa (TUKS FM 107.2) and Cornell University, USA (WVBR 93.5 FM). He also came top ten in the Best Interview Category.

The third-year journalism student, currently interning at Flirt FM 101.3 for the semester had to say;

I’m a bit lost for words to be honest. I entered only because I set the goal of at least creating something to put forward for an award so to even win it was not something I expected at all.

Also representing the campus, Galway Pulse was a finalist in the Best New Podcast section for “On the Pulse”. There were two other Irish wins, with Cork College of Further Education’s Juice FM winning awards in Best Voiceover and People’s Choice Talent.
